Trolley Trail
From
1908 to 1932, the Northern Electric Street
Railway operated an interurban trolley line
between Scranton, Lake Winola and Montrose.
The Conservancy is working to turn a 7-mile
section of the right-of-way into a
non-motorized recreational trail to connect
Clarks Summit, Glenburn, Dalton, La Plume
and Factoryville.
The
Conservancy owns 2,500 linear feet of the
Trolley right-of-way in Glenburn Township
and has trail easements over another mile in
Glenburn and Abington Townships. We are
working to grow these numbers and provide a
public-access trail in the near future!
