Get out and enjoy the 430 acres of land now known as the Varden Conservation Area, managed through Promised Land State Park in Pike County. Activities will include guided trail hikes, homemade ice cream, fiddle music, scouting activities, fishing contest for kids under 16 and much more!

There has never been a better opportunity to admire and experience the beautiful countryside of the Endless Mountains! Participants will have their choice of road bike routes or mountain bike routes that have been specifically tailored to accommodate riders of all abilities and ages. Included in the registration fee will be food, beverages, live music, an extensive raffle and t-shirts to the first 150 registrants!

New Sign in La Plume

On November 9, the Conservancy's first new-look sign was installed on one of its preserves, the Miller Preserve in La Plume Township, Lackawanna County.  While the Miller parcel is relatively small (it incorporates a section of the planned Trolley Trail), its high-visibility position on US Highways 6 and 11 made it a natural choice to highlight the Conservancy's name.
